Melea Rose-Waters

HFA Policy and Government Relations Manager

Melea brings over two decades of expertise in public policy, strategic planning, and program management. She has led federal and state policy initiatives focused on child maltreatment prevention and maternal and child health. With extensive knowledge of early childhood home visiting programs, Melea is passionate about fostering collaboration to advance policies that promote the well-being of children and families.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Social Work, Melea has also served as an adjunct professor in social welfare policy. Outside of her professional endeavors, she enjoys hiking, reading, and spending quality time with her family in Raleigh, NC.
