Kiersten Sutton serves as the Special Projects Manager in the strategy department at PCA America. In her role, she provides project leadership in cross-sector national partnerships, including Thriving Families, Safer Children, focused on supporting communities and lived experts in developing approaches focused on child and family well-being. Additionally, she collaborates with PCA America staff across departments, as well as with the network, partners, and individuals with lived experience, to plan and implement other projects relative to race equity, equitable access to services, and economic and concrete supports; develops communication and correspondence across networks; and coordinates events.
Kiersten’s professional experience includes work in child welfare, education, and the non-profit sector, involving the development of strategic partnerships, programs, training, and evaluation. Before joining PCA America, she led the development of Community of Hope, a place-based initiative that transformed into a robust Family Resource Center in an urban K-8 school. This initiative focused on improving service coordination, strengthening the school-to-community connection, and enhancing overall child and family well-being. Kiersten also provided leadership to a collective impact initiative aimed at building community connections and addressing social determinants of health to enhance neighborhood well-being in collaboration with the public and private sectors.
