Chief Public Policy and Government Relations Officer

Elizabeth has over 18 years of experience in public health policy and government relations. She oversees PCA America’s federal and state advocacy activities, ensuring the priorities of the chapter network and HFA network are represented.  She, along with her team, align the policy work of PCA America to the federal and state policy agendas.

Prior to joining PCA America, Elizabeth served as the Director of the Office of Budget Policy and Appropriations at CDC, serving in a key executive leadership role at the agency. In that role, she led CDC’s strategic budget decisions and Congressional appropriations functions—providing leadership and strategic advice in support of CDC’s resource needs and the public health mission.

Also while at CDC, Elizabeth worked in both chronic diseases and injury prevention, leading key efforts in injury and violence prevention to increase the CDC’s budget in these from $150m to over $714m. She was instrumental in reestablishing a funding line for suicide prevention and establishing funding lines for both opioid overdose prevention and the prevention of adverse childhood experiences.

Elizabeth has also worked in state government in both New Mexico and Georgia.  She is a proud Air Force veteran and mom to 4 boys.
