A Day Without Child Care – May 8, 2023

Did you know that nearly half of families receiving a childcare subsidy report incomes below the Federal Poverty Level and yet, the annual cost of childcare in 2022 ranged from $5,000 to $17,000?

When families are navigating multiple stressors and don’t have access to childcare support, the chances for abuse and neglect increase. We’re committed to changing these conditions and building more affordable and equitable options for families.

Prevent Child Abuse America is proud to support the “Day Without Childcare National Virtual Celebration” Virtual Town Hall on May 8 that 6:00pm CT, hosted by Childcare Changemakers. This virtual event will bring together childcare providers and parents across the country who took action on “Day Without Childcare” to discuss the importance of quality, affordable childcare for working families.

You can take action today, during the second Annual “Day Without Childcare” by contacting your member of Congress and ask them to prioritize childcare across our nation.
