Our 2024 Annual Luncheon was held at the Chicago Club, and welcomed over 200 attendees, including our valued partners, sponsors, and supporters. Emmy Award-winning ABC7 Chicago news anchor Val Warner was our Emcee for the event, and guests were treated to a live performance by the talented Leo Choir. The event also featured the presentation of the 2024 Sophie Grace Mayo Partner in Prevention Award to Mr. Richard J Stephenson and Dr. Stacie J. Stephenson.

The 2023 PCA America Luncheon, held on September 13th at the Chicago Club, was a truly inspiring event, filled with powerful stories and memorable moments. We had the privilege of honoring Bob Mayo, co-founder of Cancer Treatment Centers of America, with the 2023 Partner in Prevention Award. Guests also gained valuable insights into how family-friendly corporate initiatives contribute to thriving communities through an engaging panel discussion featuring Tracie Anderson (TransUnion), Ayana Johnson (Verizon Wireless), Melissa Widen (First Women’s Bank), and our very own Dr. Melissa Merrick. The event was expertly emceed by Emmy Award-winning former TV anchor, Rob Johnson.

Over 1200 attendees of HFA staff: direct service supervisors, program managers and state leaders from around the country participated in our sold-out , three-day event, which featured keynote speakers including the Mayor of Baltimore, Brandon Scott, and Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha. October 28, 2022 | CHICAGO, IL

We had an unforgettable evening celebrating 50 years of prevention and supporting children and families at the PCA America’s 50th Anniversary on Friday, October 28th, 2022 at the Theater on the Lake in Chicago. The event featured a compelling virtual discussion with Oprah Winfrey, and PCA America Co-Vice Chair Dr. Bruce Perry, skillfully emceed by actress and comedian Jessica St. Clair. Guests enjoyed a lively silent auction with a music performance from the popular Chicago band, Maggie Speaks. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and made this milestone celebration so special.
