Prevent Child Abuse Wyoming

Coordinating prevention efforts in Wyoming to prevent incidents of child neglect, emotional, physical and sexual abuse.

Key Issue Areas

Participates in Abuse Head Trauma (AHT) prevention efforts.

Co-leads in Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) prevention efforts with the program ACE Interface.

Leads in Neglect prevention efforts with the program Strengthening Families Program.

Leads in Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) prevention efforts.

Utilizing the Protective Factors Framework through ACEs, Advocacy, and Training.

The chapter works with the following evidence-based home visiting models: Early Head Start (Home Visiting), Family Spirit, Nurse Family Partnership (NFP), and Parents as Teachers (PAT) and participates in the statewide home visiting coalition.

Advocacy efforts include

  • Mandatory Supporter Training across Wyoming
  • Prevention Team development through Child Protection Team
  • Positive Parent Engagement and Advocacy
