Participate in Abuse Head Trauma (AHT) prevention efforts with the program Period of Purple Crying.

Participate in Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) prevention efforts.

Participate in Neglect prevention efforts.

Utilizing the Protective Factors Framework through ACEs, Evaluation, Home Visiting, and Training.

Implementing the Essentials for Childhood Framework strategies: Raise Awareness & Commitment and Norms Change and Programs.

The chapter works with the following evidence-based home visiting models: Early Head Start (Home Visiting), Family Resource Centers (FRCs), Family Spirit, Nurse Family Partnership (NFP), and Parents as Teachers (PAT) and participates in the statewide home visiting coalition.

Advocacy efforts include

  • Leaning into: Services and Supports for Substance Use Disorder
  • Leaning into: Strengthening Families Locally, a community based prevention initiative
  • Leaning into: Home Visiting Expansion and Sustainability
