Co-leads in Abuse Head Trauma (AHT) prevention efforts.
Leads in Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) prevention efforts with the programs Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences (HOPE) and State Coalition on ACEs.
Leads in Neglect prevention efforts with the program Strengthening Families Program.
Leads in Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) prevention efforts with the program Stewards of Children (Darkness to Light).
Utilizing the Protective Factors Framework through ACEs, Advocacy, Home Visiting, and Training.
Advocacy efforts include
- elimination of religiously based medical neglect exemption
- education around new ACE data
- CAPTA reauthorization and increase in appropriation
Prevent Child Abuse Idaho is part of Idaho Children's Trust Fund, and is also affiliated with Children's Trust Fund.
