Together, we can build stronger families and healthier communities.
Every child deserves to grow up in a safe, nurturing environment—yet too many families face challenges that put their well-being at risk.
April is Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) Month, a time for communities nationwide to come together and take action to support strong families, thriving children, and healthier communities. This year, we unite under the theme “POWERED BY HOPE, STRENGTHENED BY PREVENTION”, recognizing that when families have the right support, they can build a brighter future for their children. Through advocacy, education, and community engagement, we can work together to prevent child abuse before it ever happens.
Join us throughout April and all year long — as we raise awareness, drive action, and ensure every child has the chance to grow up safe, supported, and loved.
Building an Ecosystem of Support for Families
Economic Stability & Family Support
When families have the support they need, they thrive. Paid Family Leave and family-friendly policies create stability, reduce stress, and allow parents to be present for their children.
Empowering Parents & Youth
When parents and caregivers have access to resources, education, and relationship-building programs, they feel confident and connected, strengthening families and communities.
Healthy Childhood Development
Every child deserves a strong start. Access to quality childcare, early learning programs, and family-friendly workplaces helps children reach their full potential.
Building Safer Communities
Prevention is a collective effort. Public awareness and mentorship programs empower individuals to create safe, supportive environments for children and families.
Lasting Change for Future Generations
Investing in families today means building a brighter, healthier future for children and communities for generations to come.
Stronger Parent-Child Bonds
Quality time together strengthens relationships. When families can connect, children feel loved, supported, and ready to grow.
