Preventing SIDS With Safe Sleep
During National Sleep Awareness Month in March, for parents of children under one year old, it’s a great time to brush up on safe sleep practices in order to help prevent Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, or SIDS.
In this research review, Dr. Bart Klika, our Chief Research and Strategy Officer, goes over some recent news about infant safe sleep that challenges several of the recommendations made by the American Academy of Pediatrics. For this review, Dr. Klika consulted with experts in the field as well as published research to try to make sense of the many different opinions about the topic of safe sleep.
