Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI)
At Prevent Child Abuse America (PCA America), we are committed to fostering a culture of equity, integrity, evidence-based practice, family-centeredness, and transformation. We firmly believe that every child, parent, and family deserves access to the support they need, when they need it, within their communities, and without stigma, well before a crisis arises. Prevention is not only possible but essential, as the well-being of one directly influences the prosperity of all. We recognize that everyone has a role to play in prevention.
Our Race, Culture, and Equity Plan is designed to bring intentionality and focus to our DEI efforts. It outlines strategic steps to promote individual and collective growth, enhance personnel processes, strengthen relationships, and cultivate a culture of safety and trust within our organization. This plan builds on the recommendations from The Code Group report, our recently launched Theory of Change, and valuable insights from our staff.
Defining DEI
Diversity:
Embracing a broad array of differences in identity, perspective, skill, and style.
Equity:
Ensuring just, transparent, and consistent practices and policies.
Inclusion:
Creating an environment that actively welcomes, connects, and values all individuals without causing harm.
DEI and Our People: Making DEI a priority begins with hiring and retaining a diverse workforce. We are dedicated to equitable and fair talent management processes, promoting transparency in job roles, appropriate pay ranges, and our total rewards philosophy and strategy.
Join Us: At PCA America, we are committed to continuous improvement and believe that by working together, we can create a world where all children and families live purposeful, happy lives with hope for the future. Together, we can prevent child abuse, America… because childhood lasts a lifetime.
