Irmes has dedicated over 16 years of her professional career in communications, public relations, and marketing; both in the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. She joined Prevent Child Abuse America as Senior Communications Manager in January 2023. In this role, she provides support to the Prevent Child Abuse America national office as well as technical assistance on matters pertaining to marketing and communications to the state chapters, Healthy Families America networks, and other national partners.
Prior to joining PCA America, Irmes served as Vice President of Communications and Programs at The Chamber of Medford & Jackson County where she oversaw the organization’s communication strategies and programs to advance its brand identity, broaden awareness of its priorities, and increase the visibility of its programs across B2B and B2C brands and key stakeholder audiences. As a result of her marketing campaigns and creative endeavors, the organization experienced higher conversion rates and consistent increases in revenues as well as more enthusiastic engagement across social networks.
Irmes also had the privilege to serve as a Public Relations Consultant for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) where she spearheaded the end-to-end management in the monthly production of webinars and communications strategies aimed to promote the United Nations’ 17 goals. Additionally, she secured press interviews and garnered published articles by sustaining a list of media contacts and administering outreach efforts.
Irmes earned her MA in Political Science from Northeastern Illinois University and a BS in Communications and International Relations. A lover of languages and cultures, Irmes is a native French speaker and is fluent in English and Italian. She is the founder of Girls Education First Foundation (GEFF) and proudly serves as President of its board to lead initiatives in advocacy for the world’s most marginalized girls.
