For more than 30 years, FamilyWise, the Minnesota Chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America, and partners across northern and central Minnesota have come together for the annual Radiothon to End Child Abuse. The 24-hour event raised over $175,000 in 2021 for local and statewide efforts to create safe, nurturing environments for kids and families in Minnesota.

Kentucky is one of 19 states to permit school CP as a form of discipline. This is despite clear and compelling evidence corporal punishment causes injury, is ineffective in promoting positive student behavior, interferes with student learning, is used disproportionately, and creates a negative school climate. Students must be safe and free from physical and emotional harm in schools.

However, following the completion of our recent qualitative study, Policymaker Perspectives on Child Maltreatment Prevention in NC, the Policy Team at Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina (PCANC) have found ourselves savoring a sense of hope.
ZERO TO THREE Awarded $5 Million from U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to Strengthen Infant-Toddler Court Program
This grant will strengthen PCAAZ’s Infant-Toddler Court (ITC) program, Best for Babies, by advancing statewide coordination of ITCs, enhancing the Zero to Three Safe Babies Court Team (SBCT) approach in three existing ITC sites, and creating opportunities for shared learning and improvement for all ITCs in Arizona.
PCA Nevada received a $100,000 grant from UnitedHealthcare.
The grant will introduce a new tele-home visiting pilot program that will check in with new parents two to four weeks after discharge from the hospital as well as provide additional support and engagement in mental and behavioral health services.
