Prevent Child Abuse Wisconsin builds community resources, provides training and public awareness and carries out advocacy activities in order to strengthen child abuse prevention efforts in Wisconsin
Key Issue Areas
Participate in Abuse Head Trauma (AHT) prevention efforts with the program Period of Purple Crying.
Participate in Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) prevention efforts with the program ACE Interface.
Participate in Neglect prevention efforts with the program Strengthening Families Program.
Lead in Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) prevention efforts with the program Stewards of Children (Darkness to Light).
Utilizing the Protective Factors Framework through Training.
Implementing the Essentials for Childhood Framework strategies: Raise Awareness & Commitment and Norms Change and Programs.
The chapter works with the following evidence-based home visiting models: Family Resource Centers (FRCs), Healthy Families America (HFA), and Triple P.
