Key Issue Areas

Co-leads in Abuse Head Trauma (AHT) prevention efforts with the program Period of Purple Crying.

Participates in Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) prevention efforts with the program Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences (HOPE).

Participates in Neglect prevention efforts.

Utilizing the Protective Factors Framework through ACEs, Home Visiting, and Training.

Advocacy efforts include

  • Leaning into: Building prevention pathways for families at-risk for child welfare involvement (including substance using pregnant parents)
  • Leaning into: Building an understanding of the prevention landscape, including Family Resource Centers
  • Leaning into: Continuing to build out capacity for home visiting, including learning from a pilot of the Family Connects in one county in WA
