The Mission of PCA NV is to ensure that Nevada’s children thrive in safe, stable, and nurturing environments and relationships. Through providing education, advocacy, and awareness, PCA NV aims to inspire communities to prevent all forms of child maltreatment.
Key Issue Areas
Participates in Abuse Head Trauma (AHT) prevention efforts.
Participates in Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) prevention efforts.
Co-leads in Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) prevention efforts with the programs Care for Kids and Enough Abuse.
Utilizing the Protective Factors Framework through Advocacy and Training.
The chapter works with the following evidence-based home visiting models: Early Head Start (Home Visiting), Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY), Nurse Family Partnership (NFP), and Triple P and participates in the statewide home visiting coalition.
