Key Issue Areas

Participates in Abuse Head Trauma (AHT) prevention efforts.

Participates in Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) prevention efforts with the programs ACE Interface, The Resilience Project, and State Coalition on ACEs.

Participates in Neglect prevention efforts.

Leads in Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) prevention efforts with the program Stewards of Children (Darkness to Light).

Participates in Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) prevention efforts.

Utilizing the Protective Factors Framework through ACEs, Advocacy, and Training.

The chapter works with the following evidence-based home visiting models: Early Head Start (Home Visiting), Healthy Families America (HFA), Nurse Family Partnership (NFP), and Parents as Teachers (PAT) and participates in the statewide home visiting coalition.

Advocacy efforts include

  • Safe Sleep
  • Stable Funding for home visiting
  • Support for Equity in E-Learning
