Are donations tax deductible?

Yes. Donations to Prevent Child Abuse America via our donation page are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

Immediately after you complete your transaction, you will receive an email from hello@givelively.org (our donation platform) containing a receipt for your donation that can be used for tax purposes.

Can I make a gift in honor or in memory of someone?

Yes. Enter your donation amount on our donation page and select “give a gift in honor of someone” to customize and send your tribute gift.

Can I donate items, such as cars or boats, to Prevent Child Abuse America?

How can I make changes to my donation (e.g.,: edit the amount or update credit card info)?

To protect your information, we have some restrictions on what we can do to edit recurring payments. The easiest way to make any changes is to cancel your current recurring donation and set up a new one. You can cancel yourself here: https://members.givelively.org/. And then set up a new donation on our website: https://preventchildabuse.org/donate/. If you use the same email, we will be able to easily link your old and new donations together in our records.

I donated online, when will I receive my acknowledgement email?

You should receive an automated email from hello@givelively.org. If you have set up a recurring donation, all subsequent acknowledgement emails will come from integration_user@preventchildabuse.org. Please make sure to check your spam filter.

I donated via mail, when will I receive my acknowledgement email/letter?

We send all acknowledgements for mailed donations via mail unless requested otherwise. You should receive your letter about two weeks after you send your donation. If you have an urgent need for acknowledgement, please include a note with your donation to email or call you as soon as it is received. 

My donation is in honor of someone, can you send them an acknowledgement?

Yes! If you donate online, a message is automatically sent to the contact whose email address you provided. This email address is not saved in our records. If you are donating via mail, we will happily send an email or letter to your honoree or their contact. Please make sure to include their contact information 

Can I donate online from my business or foundation? The form only asks for my name.

Yes! We can take donations from your organization on our online form. Please submit your information as you see fit and then contact us at kmelvin@preventchildabuse.org or 312-663-3520 x813, so that we can make sure we are properly attributing your gift. We can re-issue an acknowledgement email or letter if needed.
