Rob Reid’s belief in the foundational role of supportive early childhood environments in nurturing a healthy and productive society led him to join Prevent Child Abuse America in 2001. Working on several data initiatives, for nearly two decades he focused primarily on overseeing a Healthy Families America case management system—planning system upgrades, designing algorithms for data transformations, designing mathematically rigorous reports, designing user interfaces, collecting and prioritizing end-user feedback, conducting trainings, writing documentation, and assessing data quality. Also a Healthy Families America Certified Peer Reviewer, he believes in the fundamental importance of grounding data analysis in a deep understanding of context. His current focus is on leading a national-level initiative to utilize existing data in support of coordinated quality improvement efforts.

Prior to joining Prevent Child Abuse America, Rob was the Technology Manager and Interim Accounting Manager at the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (ISPCAN). Rob is also the founder of Walking Across Chicago, co-founder of a neighborhood block club, and co-author of Images of America: Avondale and Chicago’s Polish Village.

Rob holds a BS in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from Cornell University.
