Karly Zucker

Karly Zucker joined Prevent Child Abuse America (PCA America) in March, 2021, and works closely with the Chief Operations Officer for Chapters to continue to promote and support a strong chapter network.
Prior to joining PCA America, Karly worked as a program manager for the USDA’s Summer Food Service Program. In her first year in that role, the program served a record 33,000 meals to children in her local community. She has worked in public schools as a social worker, providing mental health and case management services to children ages 3 to 11 and their families. It has been through these experiences, as well as education and research in adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and trauma-informed care, that Karly has realized that her passion lies in primary prevention and ensuring equity in resources for all families. After seeing the long-term and generational impacts of violence, trauma, and abuse on children and families, she is thrilled to be joining this team and to promote PCA America’s mission.
Karly received her BA in Sociology (with a concentration in Social Welfare) and Communication Studies from Augustana College and her Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
