Alison Jakes Argersinger has been a member of and leader in Kappa Delta Sorority (KD) for nearly three decades. She was initiated at the KD chapter at Florida Southern College, where she served a President (1980–81) and demonstrated that strength and gentleness can live in perfect harmony. She went on to serve at the national level of the organization for 25 years and in 2015 was elected as National President, reinvigorating the organization’s strategic planning process.

Prior to her term as National President, she served as National Vice President of Membership (2011–15). She has also supported Kappa Delta in her communities, including serving as Co-president of the Tallahassee, Florida, Alumnae Chapter; President of the Lakeland, Florida, Alumnae Panhellenic; and former chapter advisory board member for chapters at Florida State University and Florida Southern. As Kappa Delta’s Immediate Past President, she remains a representative of the sorority to Prevent Child Abuse America, serving on its national board of directors.
