Research shows that 1 in 5 kids have received a sexual solicitation online, and 82% of online sex crimes against minors start by predators using social media to contact victims and get their info. Gabb aims to create the safest phones for kids and help parents keep kids safe.
Radiothon to End Child Abuse, by the Minnesota Chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America
For more than 30 years, FamilyWise, the Minnesota Chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America, and partners across northern and central Minnesota have come together for the annual Radiothon to End Child Abuse. The 24-hour event raised over $175,000 in 2021 for local and statewide efforts to create safe, nurturing environments for kids and families in Minnesota.

The 117th Congress passed a legislative spending package funding the government through the end of its fiscal year until September 30, 2023. The Omnibus bill includes priorities of importance to Prevent Child Abuse America as it provides critical investments and support to families and children.

PCA Washington Launches First Washington State Library for Incarcerated Youth
The first state library for incarcerated youth is set to open at Echo Glen Children’s Center in Snoqualmie, thanks to a partnership between the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF), the Secretary of State’s Office, and Washington State Library, Institutional Library Services (ILS).
