Welcome to the Research Review! Each month join our Chief Research and Strategy Officer, Dr. Bart Klika, as he does a quick run-down of emerging research and hot topics related to child abuse and neglect prevention.
Today’s Research Review is on the topic of co-sleeping, infant safe sleep, and new interpretations of the recommendations to parents from physicians and experts. In this review, Dr. Klika goes over some recent news about infant safe sleep that challenges several of the recommendations made by the American Academy of Pediatrics. For this review, Dr. Klika consulted with experts in the field as well as published research to try to make sense of the many different opinions about the topic of safe sleep.
