Last week, a veteran member of the Prevent Child Abuse America Board of Directors was honored in his home state by Prevent Child Abuse New Jersey.
For the past eight years, Mike Dervos has helped lead our organization as an active member of our Board, lending his experience on our Fundraising, Chapters and Executive Committees, among others. Mike’s dedication to our cause transcends his work on our board and he and his wife Mary Jo have also given back by serving as foster parents.
During his career, Mike was a long-time executive with Macy’s and oversaw nationwide operations in cosmetic marketing and buying. While working for Macy’s, he helped secure corporate funding that resulted in our Estimated Cost of Child Maltreatment research, an important project that was successful in large part due to Mike’s efforts.
“It is my honor to be able to serve on the board of an organization that is totally committed to the wellbeing of our children.” – Mike Dervos
We are grateful for all of Mike’s work on behalf of our organization. Most importantly, we are especially grateful for his dedication to children and families nationwide. Congratulations, Mike!
